Who Predicted U.S. Economic Collapse Years Ago?

Defying President Bush and the leaders of both parties the US House  rejected a $700 billion economic rescue plan in a revolt that rocked the US Capitol, sent markets plunging and left top lawmakers groping for a resolution.

So by the time that bell sounded again on the NY Stock Exchange $1.2 trillion had vanished from the United States stock market. The broad market, as measured by the Standard & Poor’s 500-stock index, plunged almost 9 percent, its third-biggest decline since World War II. The Dow Jones industrial average fell nearly 778 points, or 7 percent, to 10,365.

However, please recognize that the defeat of this massive bailout is actually something Ron Paul was highly in favor of. If the bill had passed, it would have provided short term relief that would have blown up from $700 billion initially allocated to trillions of dollars and the further dilution of the dollar could truly have been catastrophic as it would have continued to accelerate the massive decline of the dollar.

So, despite the record stock market losses please understand and realize that this is a GOOD SIGN. Like many medical therapies sometimes you just get worse before you get better and this is a classic example.

The REAL danger here, and believe you me it is a danger, is to become afraid. Once you step into the powerful emotion of fear and you put your intention on what you don't want the consequence is you activate powerful natural forces that tend to provide you with whatever thoughts you are attaching strong emotions to. This is clearly something you want to avoid doing, so stop being afraid of the economy.

It is important for you and your family to CANCEL any negative thoughts about this. I simply yell "Cancel!" and imagine a large red diagonal line going through any image I don't want. The more you and others do that, the more likely we will all reap the benefits of this postive focus and intention.

Hang in there and CONTINUE TO FOCUS ON WHAT YOU WANT, and the real key is to attach as much emotion to what you want. Simply wishing or thinking about it is not sufficient. You have to attach strong emotions to what you want.

If you need more reasons why you should be happy about this just watch Ron Paul's videos and he will give you all the details as why this "bad news" is actually really great news in disguise.

Although a little outside the scope of my normal bogging, the economy is on all of our minds lately and can definitely affect the way we think and act.  That's why I decided to reprint this article from Dr. Mercola's Newsletter.  I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

It shows me once again it's a real shame we have to pick between two idiots, when we could have someone like Ron Paul in the White House.

God Help Us,

Tim

A Good Time to Count Your Blessings?

Merry Christmas (to those of you who celebrate it).

Hope you got everything you wanted, and I hope you've had a good year.

Our year has been very tragic as well as very blessed.

If you've been reading my blog for a while, you know tragedy struck when our next door neighbors were all killed this year (the mom killed everyone, and I was the one that found them).  We were good friends with the family and really close with the kids (11 and 7 yrs old).  We're still in the process of healing, but it keeps getting easier every day.

Two major (and many minor) blessings have come as a direct result of the tragedy though.

We've met and become friends with a number of neighbors that we never knew before.  One couple that we've become good friends with talked us into going to church with them.  Although, I'm very spiritual, I hadn't been to church or had any use for one in many years.  In fact I didn't want anything to do with organized religion.

Funny, but the church they took us to isn't much on organized religion either.  This church is totally different than what we grew up with and totally different than anything we'd ever been to.  We just love it.

My spiritual life has taken a huge turn.  I've even joined a weekly men's Bible study.  Now, that's a miracle!

The second major blessing we've received are the neighbors two dogs (big dogs… 55 and 115 lbs).  We adopted them after they were all killed.  We were very close with the dogs.

We've known them since the day they brought them home as puppies, three years ago.  Besides going over to visit them on a regular basis, we also took care of them when ever the family went out of town.  So they were already very comfortable with us.

It's been a big switch going from just my wife and I in a spotless house to the four of us living in a far from spotless house.  But we wouldn't give them up for anything.  We're having a blast with them.

So you see, you never know what you'll learn from any situation.  No matter how tragic or horrible your situation seems, if you really look around you'll almost surely find at least one hidden blessing and probably more.

I'm counting my blessings this Holiday season, and I hope you're doing the same.

May God Bless You and Your Family,

Tim

Should You Write Your Goals Down?

Pick up almost any self-help book on the market and there’s one thing you’ll usually find, a section on goal setting.  Most authors will tell you to write your goals down.  Some will tell you to write them down every morning and night.  Others tell you to write them down and then just read them every morning and night.  Some will tell you to write them down and forget about them.  If you’ve studied much personal development material I’m sure you’ve heard a lot of different ideas on how to do it.

But, have you done any of them?  Consistently?

I was kind of hit and miss at first.  I wrote each goal down ten times every morning when I first started, but I didn’t see any instant results.  I wanted to start manifesting all my dreams and goals by about the second day, but of course it didn’t happen that quickly.  So after a little while I gave up.

Then a few months later I remember finding my sheet of goals that I had written out.  When I started going down the list, over half of them had come true.  I was shocked.  I hadn’t even thought about them.  They had just showed up in my life.

That made a believer out of me.  Today, I consider it like magic.  About 90% of the things that I write down happen.  There’s just something about writing things down.  And it’s not like I make the list up and look at it every day.  I don’t.  I pull it out from time to time, every month or two.

Now don’t get me wrong.  I have a too do list I work off of on a daily basis.  For me, I find that critical, and although the tasks on my list may be working towards one of my goals, that’s a different subject.

As for my goal list, today I have it broken into four different areas; I have personal goals, financial goals, physical goals, and spiritual goals (not necessarily in that order).

I also have long term and short-term goals.  The short-term goals are generally more task oriented and are usually geared towards working on one of the long term goals.

And I do revise my list from time to time.  I add new goals periodically, and as priorities change, I may go back and take things off that are no longer important to me.  I will revise a date if I have to as well.  If I have a goal that I don’t make by the date I put down, I don’t just give up and take it off the list.  I change the date.  I try to stay flexible.

I’ve had everything from weight loss goals to retiring before I turned 50 on the list.  I guess I should have put down retire before I’m 40… maybe you can learn from this :-)   I put down everything that’s really important to me.  If it’s not a real priority, I don’t put it down.  It wouldn’t get done anyway.

And it’s okay if things are on your list for years.  I looked back at the oldest list I had on my computer.  It was from February of 1997 (before that I thought it was important to write them out by hand).  Right at the bottom of the long-term list was - learn how to play the piano.  It’s been at the bottom of every long-term goal list since (and maybe before).  I left it there because I really wanted to learn, but with working full-time I could never find the time.  Well now I have time, so I took a piano class at the local university last semester.  It was a blast, but it’s a lot more work than I thought.  It’s like learning a new language.  I guess I’ll find out how bad I really want it.

Finally, most of you know I’m a big fan of Dr. Robert Anthony (sign up for his free e-course under the "Notification Sign Up button" on the right if you haven’t done so yet).  In fact, that is how most of you found my blog.

Next time I’ll tell you how Dr. Robert Anthony has helped me take manifesting my dreams and goals to a whole new level.  He has taught me to take a much more active roll in creating the things in my life I really want.  I get the same results, but now I get them much quicker by taking an active rather than a passive roll.

Here’s To Your Success,

Tim
